Munira Wilson
Munira is a councillor for West Twickenham and has recently been selected as PPC for Feltham & Heston. Born and brought up in London, Munira has lived in South West London since 2005 and was elected in 2006 as councillor for West Twickenham, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, with an 18% swing from third place. She is also a governor at Heathfield Junior School. Currently Munira is PR & Public Affairs Manager for a national cancer charity in Twickenham, campaigning for better provision of cancer drugs, more screening and improved awareness of bowel cancer. Previously, Munira worked for Save the Children, campaigning on issues such as child poverty and child trafficking. Munira is a keen campaigner and is passionate about fighting inequality and promoting opportunity, protecting our civil liberties and making our streets safer. Locally, Munira is involved in the campaign against the Government's plans to expand Heathrow and is fighting to improve the local environment. She is also fighting to save local Post Offices and improve local health services. Munira is passionate about tackling poverty in our local communities and feels that the people of Feltham & Heston have been ignored by the Labour Government and its MP for the last 11 years.
